D01: DEPARTURE TEHRAN – QESHM |
With its dolphin shape and its mangrove forests, caves, canyons, and gorges, waiting to amaze anyone. Qeshm is a paradise, especially for nature lovers. What cannot be missed are the women’s clothes. Most women in Qeshm wear two types of niqab, (face coverings), which unlike other places, are not for religious purposes, but rather derive from the history of this fantastic island. |
This island has a lot to offer, for example, UNESCO has inscribed the art of building Lenj, (small wooden boats), in the list of intangible cultural heritage, and the best place to witness these creations is the shipyard near the village of Laft. These fishing boats can be observed in different stages of construction, being painted, up to the inauguration at sea.
In the morning we are accompanied to the airport to return to Tehran in time to arrive at Imam Khomeini international airport for the connecting flight that takes us back to Italy |
